Earth Alive is a privately owned Canadian company that began operations in 1997/1998
with the mandate to develop a proprietary organic microbial technology
for diverse applications in industrial cleaning, agriculture,
bioremediation and sewage treatment. The company founders were aware that scientists over the years had
isolated and identified many beneficial species and strains of naturally
occurring microbes for the accomplishment of such tasks as plant growth
stimulation, plant and soil disease control, bioremediation of
contaminated soil and water, manure odour reduction, sewage treatment
and industrial composting. Yet many of these microbial discoveries were
languishing on laboratory shelves as scientists lacked the technical
means to effectively deploy microbes under field conditions.
Earth Alive’s goal is to provide an economical means to deliver a robust
consortia of beneficial microorganisms in an organic substrate for the
accomplishment of many tasks presently addressed by harsh chemicals that
are dangerous to humans, animals and the environment.
The Earth Alive patented process provides a protective nutrient
environment for naturally occurring microbes. Competitive carriers
typically lack microbial food value and the means to protect the
microbes when deployed. This translates into the difference between
delivering robust microbes that will survive to accomplish the task, or
delivering microbes that will quickly perish due to toxic shock or lack
of nutrients.
Earth Alive microbial products are proven economical as the proprietary
process utilizes an inexpensive organic nutrient substrate, requiring
only a relatively small population of microbes to precipitate rapid
microbiological growth in the treatment zone. Competitive products rely
on an expensive non-nutrient carrier to ineffectively deliver large
quantities of costly microbes that may not survive long enough to
accomplish the intended product mission.
To the best knowledge of the
Company, there are no organic microbial products that have the same
composition and capabilities as Earth Alive products. There are a number
of microbial products on the market for various applications, but these
products do not possess the unique attributes and abilities of the Earth
Alive formulation.
To date the company has established sales & marketing offices in:
Montreal, Quebec
Waterloo, Quebec
